Visit our capital city in a day and discover all her secrets. The city is only 40 minutes away by car on the A-42 or the AP-41. Madrid is one of the biggest cultural centres in the world. Visit the axis of museums; El Prado, Reina Sofía & Thyssen-Bornemisza, that are reknowned throughout the world for their exquisite collection of classic, modern and contemporary art. Alternatively, travel with confort on the AVE high-speed train and you will arrive at Madrid Puerta de Atocha in just 25 minutes. From there, Madrid is your playground.
El Prado:
Set within a privileged location, the national museum of El Prado is a must on any visitors´Madrid itinerary. Set within different enclosures, such as - the Villanueva building, the Castón of Buen Retiro, and the "New Property" designed by Rafael Moneo, El Prado is home to the most extensive collection of Spanish art in the world.
Thyssen-Bornemisza:
With nearly 1,000 works of art, the Thyssen-Bornemisza is the hub of artistic and cultural itinerary, unique throughout the world. The museum invites you to take a privileged journey through seven centuries of European art, from its beginnings in the 13th century to its aftermath in the 20th century.
Reina Sofia:
Works from distinguished artists such Dalí, Miró and Juan Gris as well as the astounding Guernica from Picasso offers you a fantastic sample of contemporary art in the modern complex of Reina Sofía. The newly developed route which was put in place in May 2009 takes you through different artists as well as origins, periods, subjects and styles so as to show you the attributes of the contemporary vanguard.
ARANJUEZ
Aranjuez is a mere 45 minutes from Toledo by car. The city was made a UNESCO World Heritage site for its cultural landscape in 2001. The historical routes and promenades was at the centre of an architectural development to recreate gardens, forests and orchards within a new palace complex for the Spanish royal family. It was to be the centre of leisure, hunting and pleasure for the Spanish kings. Take a walk through this palatial complex, imagine how the nobility lived whilst in retreat from the hectic capital Madrid, and above all be at one with nature.
CUENCA
The city of Cuenca is a true Spanish gem and was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Be sure to check out the "hanging houses" and the town´s main square.

SEGOVIA
